I heard about very unique character which is knows as "SARUBOBO" from my co-worker.
This character is Japanese rural area's traditional character. There is no face and the body color is red. So it seems like a damon.
But it is believed that SARUBOBO can bring a happiness to people in the area. Surprising thing is the fact this ares's ancestor made this character by themselves.
