Japanese municipality, Yamatsuri Town, is coming under the spotlight.
Actually, it is said that many Japanese small municipality in which a lot of youngsters are moving out there can't afford to maintain their finance.
Normally, these municpality which can't get enough taxes and subsidy from the goverment have to be absorbed by near municipality, however, Yamatsuri Town come up with ingenious idea.
The most striking action is building library with being given all books by people living in Japan. Thanks to this way of gathering books, this town reduce a lot of costs to build a library.
In Japan, recently, it is common for us to sell books we don't need read anymore. But instead of getting slight money from selling them, why don't we give them to like that small municipality to save them.
This is a little warming news I happend to watch on TV today.
